A few questions

I am new to this forum and also new to the Syclone/Typhoon racing hobby. They have interested me and I hope you will be patient and answer some questions for me. First of all can these trucks be used to be consistant in bracket racing? I would like to bracket race one of these trucks in the 11's or 12's. Can a transbrake be used? Is a burnout necessary for an 11 or 12 second truck w/the proper tires? What would it take to make it a 11 second or low 12 second truck? Thanks for your replies in advance. 8)

No need for a burnout if we are AWD.

Go to "Racing your brick" and read tookycat's recent post. That's what it takes to run 12's (11's)
Transbrake? Nah, just push down on the break pedal as hard as u can.
Go to as many syty websites as you can and read up on SyTy's before you buy one.

These trucks are old and need lots of tuning/maintenance.

stay tuned in the next few weeks to find out how consistant they can be in bracket racing. i am just finishing my setup to automate launching as close as you can without a delay box or transbrake, but still be able to leave off a button release.

I made 3 passes at Tri-State in Iowa with my truck last year with about a 45 minute cool down between each pass. I ran a 12.530, a 12.531, and a 12.533.

Oh, and I DO do a burnout. I have 4 drag radials, just roll throgh the water, spool it up to 10 or so, and nail it. Spins all four and gets 'em real sticky.

Not the best. I don't remember exactly, but I know I had on in the .500's and two in the .700's. It wasn't a bracket day, so that kinda sucked. They also have gamblers brackets, and again, not that day of course. I definatelly would have came home with some cash if I could have run those numbers with all .500 something lights on a gamblers day. Oh well.
