Hey guys anyone know where I can buy full front suspension kit? I mean everything to replace the whole front suspension. My truck came from Ohio so has a lot of rust on undercarriage all bushings are shot! My front end is all over the place when on highway.

Code what?
Re: Full front suspension kit

You have to put it together separately, for a whole front end rebuild you will need the following.

Upper and lower control arm bushings
Inner tie rod ends x2
Outer tie rod ends x2
Idler arm
Pitman arm
Upper ball joints x2
Lower ball joints x2

I'd go with moog from rock auto, best prices

Ok thank you sir. Now I've rebuilt front suspensions before on 60s-70s muscle cars. Is it pretty much the same on these or will I need special tools?

Re: Full front suspension kit

I did my entire front end last year. I did purchase a torsion bar removal tool. There is a lot of pressure there. Some people don't, but I would rather be a little safe.

They sell loaded control arms now with ball joint/bushing already installed on RockAuto.

Buy loaded control arms for sure. Saves much work, plus you probably need bushings too and that requires a press. Change out the torsion bar mounts. I rebuilt mine and I found I had a real bad front hub bearing. Check everything before you order parts.

So do I have to remove torsion bars to swap out control arms or can I slide the control arm off the torsion bar? I changed torsion bar bushings awhile back.

What are the torsion bar mounts?

No you do not, you can the bolts from the torsion keys to help get the lowers loose from the bars. I'd also suggest buying the loaded control arms. You will need to knock out and reuse the end washers from the upper bushings on the new arms.

Thanks guys for all the replys. I ordered all parts plus gonna upgrade the front brakes while I'm at it. Since my time is limited Im gonna have my local ship do the work for me.

Re: Full front suspension kit

So I replaced both upper & lower control arms, inner & outer tie rods, sleeves, pitman arm and idler arm. Truck seems to have more sloppiness on the highway than before. I'm thinking of adding a belltech front sway bar as I have already added one to the rear. What do you guys think or suggest?

Have you upgraded the steering shaft? Does your steering wheel have slop from 10-2 o'clock? The original will cause a lot of sloppiness in the rubber rag joint(hockey puck looking rubber isolater) which can allow the truck to drift/track at highway speeds even though your fresh suspension might be tight. The sway bar mostly improves body roll in cornering/turning, but the bigger Beltech wouldn't hurt. I would upgrade to an Astro steering shaft if not done yet. There's also a steering dampner/shock kit you can install.

Re: Full front suspension kit

I dont have any play in the actual steering wheel it's just feels like the truck sways or rolls around when I hit a dip in the road or bump it kind of sends the truck in the opposite direction. I hope I explained that correctly.
