Getting ready for a street race

Gtech wrote 10.50 at the first run . 10 psi at the line and 23-24 all the way down, 27* advance and 71* intake temp with all that meth i use. A lot better with the Uniroyals 275/40/18 than with the stockers.

I listen to Nolans advise to lean (13:1) it to get some earlier spool up. I was like 11.8:1 before trying to make it spool with a lot of exhaust smoke but it didnt work

Wait for some 28 psi logs :rotf:

Gtech ?? what pitch do you have it set at? Our trucks do that nose in the air thing on launches that I hear throws off the Gtech.

Re: Getting ready for a street race

I use big poly suspension limiters so the nose goes up just a little bit. Caltracs are one turn on the left and two turns on the right preloaded.
Gtech stays right on its place , the problem is with the laptop that has to be tied down and the screen must be fully opened or it will close.

I made an ALU door for the rear 1,5mm thick. Painted black and i just have to drill it for installation

I made 5 pass' in the Ty with the Gtech.... each was the same... .3 quick and 6mph fast.... the difference was the same on each pass.

Re: Getting ready for a street race

The only one I did with the truck wasnt that good because it spun the front tires a good amount on a 6psi launch.

I had no problems on a launch with the truck rising with g-tech. :dunno:

Yeah, but your shit's slow, so the Gtech might not read the same for him.

Re: Getting ready for a street race

Ok, second pass 11,77@195km/h and im like wtf ?????????
Reading the datallog i see that the ecm adds 22-24% fuel and the intake temps are not in the 60-75*F range but in the 140-150 range. The meth kit didnt work at this run. I also see the timing pulled 10 times up to 10* and boost is around 21 psi.
So i remove the feed to the injectors and the meth filter is clean like new. I took the air gun and gave some pressure to the map sensor. The pump started injecting methanol and all of a sudden the pressure dropped. I did this 6-7 times and the maximum pressure came back . After 1 gallon of meth on the floor the kit worked again like new....but i dont feel that good when i know that this might happen again. Now what ?

What injection kit do you have? I know the one I use Auqaumist 2d system has an ecu that monitors and alerts you when the system has a clog, and when there are other issues. That way of course you will know the moment it happens and rectify/clean it.

I use Julios kit. First time with a problem

Yes it will take time to develope a problem/clog that's why it's nice to have the ecu to monitor it later down the road for future issues.

Re: Getting ready for a street race

maybe you could make somekind of pressure switch in the Alky system, and use a boost solenoid...
so when you have no Alky pressure, you are running on base boost triggered by the non active pressure switch?

Re: Getting ready for a street race

Could be done , but my base boost is 22 psi now that i installed the other spring. I can tune the fast to retard up to 20* than 10* that is now.

Re: Getting ready for a street race

What OS do you use on you laptop.
most should have a power managment feature with a laptop setting that you can close the top without doing anything.

Re: Getting ready for a street race

The laptop goes in stand by mode if the cover shuts down. I leave it this way to save some battery when i remove it for some reason. I always use an inverter in the truck also.

Re: Getting ready for a street race

There are two power settings, you can set it to standby when on battery and to never standby when you have it plugged in.

The "customer" with the T68 EVO went down to Athens to upgrade to a T76 or something. Still waiting for his call.........
