WOW.... Thats some scary shit man. I am glad you all are ok.
Carrying a gun is all well and good but in that situation I can't see how it would have helped really. I mean they came in guns in hand so showing your weapon would just escalate the situation and with 2 to 1 armed and an unarmed sister in the mix seems like it would definitely ended worse then it did with out you having a gun. Maybe having it concealed and waiting till they are not paying attention and you have your sis out of the way then it may have helped but thats a lot of maybes and what ifs. That being said I would carry at most times probably after having something like that happen to me.
Again its sucks that it happened but great that it worked out with no real injuries. I do agree with others that I would feel uncomfortable now with them knowing where you live.

You know this is one of those things that when you talk about it, everyone says, "ah man Ild"....but in reality, you never really know what you would do until it happens. Im sorry this happened to you, even more so, I am sorry it happened through people you knew. Hope everything ends up well for your situation.

Just glad to hear no one was hurt badly. I'm not going into details about what I had to do in a similar situation but I still have nightmares about what I had to do to protect my family.

forgot to mention, I hope you get or have gotten all your stuff back. Hopefully in the future too you will keep the guest list strictly to a short list of need to knows of people you only know.

Yeah, if I heard something, i'd grab my burner too. As stated though, never know what could of happend. However, I believe if an intruder is shot at while he is still out side, he is going to flee. Glad your ok. Sounds like your pup needs to grow up fast so you'll have the alarm/intimidator.

I've always worried about who shows up at my house, thats the problem with having nice things, other people want them and are stupid enough to do illegal things to get them.

Glad to hear you're still around to tell the tale. IMO - you did the right thing by following their demands. No one likes to be raped of their possessions, but property can be replaced. Lives on the other hand, can't.
With the evidence I'm sure they'll get what's coming to them. What about the rest of the property they got?

Adam we were shocked and saddened to hear about your brutal experience w/ the underbelly of society. It sounds to me as if you came thru it about as well as you could, given the circumstances. Even tho' you got smacked for defending your sis, you did distract them and that threat of further resistance may have encouraged them to get outta there as soon as possible w/ stuff they could turn in to money.
I know how it feels to have your "precious things" stolen, and wishing u could kill 'em. But even if you had a pistol you couldn't get to it, & even if it were on your person you could never draw, aim and shoot as quickly as he could pull the trigger......
Glad you're intact and hope you get some of your possessions back - tho' it's more likely that you'll find them on Craigslist.

Damn! Glad you both made it outta that one. Nice to see that everything turned around so quickly. All I would have cared about was my dog too. I think they would have had to take my life before they could get my dog. What kind of pooch do you have?

The people that robbed me, only 2 of 3 or 4 are in custody, 1 is getting 3 years, the other 12-15 tbd. Anyways thanks all, im alive still lol.

I can't believe I missed this story. I'm glad your okay and everything turned out okay. My wife was also had a gun pointed to her in April.
She was dropping off my nephew at my brothers house when it occured. It's a long story but they did not take the car. I was in Scottsdale at the time and when she called me it had just happened. My nephew also got a gun pointed at him. The robbers were all under 17. They got spooked when someone from the house yelled and they ran away. Let's just say that they are very lucky that my brother did not find them when he got outside.
They got arrested the following night when they tried to rob an undercover officer at gun point. They will be tried as adults and to date I've yet to hear when they will be going to court.
