Also, for those of you that were not part of the GP, but want an intercooler, we have a couple extras, and will most likely be making more, so if you are interested or would like to purchase one, please get in touch with us.

The optional extras, that can be selected for these, as well as the stock IC are as follows:

- Molded 90 degree silicone hose from IC to IC pump - $8
- Thread in coolant level sensor (SM IC only) - $20
- Aluminum IC scoop - $18
Johnson IC pump - $160

Thanks!

That is certainly nice craftsmanship. I do wonder how much of a percentage of the CCHE is covered by a plate though. Even with the smaller holes, it looks like 25% of the CCHE is blocked off.

What size is the plate and what is the diameter of the circles you cut out?

Re: Interest Thread: SM replacement Lower Intercooler

The plate was 7 5/8" x 13 7/8" x 1/8", and the fan holes were 5", the others ranged from 3/4"-1 1/4". I'm not too worried about flow considering the fans pull 313 cfm each. With that being said, I have considered milling the sides a bit. I just tried to find a balance between adequate flow and still maintain enough rigidity so things don't vibrate or come loose.

What brand fans and size? How many amps are they pulling? I'm now using an Odyssey battery, mechanical fan, just don't want to over load the battery.

I'm running two of the fans Sportmachines offered, which are Spal IX-30103011. They are 5.2" diameter and are rated for 313 cfm at 4.80 amps.
