well..since we don't have a source for cables we need to run these, and i really wanted to finish this truck i did the following.
i grinded off the spring that''s in the back of the cable. since the ls-brakes have springs in them for pulling it back.
still working on the pedal to move back faster. but i'll experiment with that further when i have it on a lift.
