I dont know what is required here to claim "the record" but in actual sanctioned competition (nhra or ihra) a fuel check and teardown to verify legality are included. Also no unleaded fuels are approved or will pass the check, including straight pump gas.

Being the "RECORD" is just bragging rights with ZERO dollars attached to it. Forcing tear down, fuel testing, verification would be rather crazy.

Basically if someone wants to Brag and knows they are hiding something, that is for themselves to feel good doing.

Yeah but it feels so much better saying you have the fastest pump gas truck. Because if you did step up to race gas you'd just go a little faster. :)

In this forum most people's definition of 'stock turbo' is the stock turbo class at the SyTy National's rules. In general, we don't have an whitch when someone claim to have the fastest record truck if it seems reasonable particularly if its someone respected on the forum (an advantage of a small group of owners)

I have been to some import forums and you need to have video, scan slip times and someone knowledgable pick over the motor before its official

DGoodhue's assessment was accurate. The tranny and converter were factory original. Reread the thread, I posted the timeslip and all the details. It wasn't a "CRATE ENGINE" it was a factory warranty replacement according to my GM documentation.
