What's the quickest ty on stock motor/stock injectors?

Here are some times I got at the track two weeks ago.

First run
T2 18 psi
had the tranny in OD
60ft 2.114
13.2 @ 103.4
0 degree knock retard

Second run
T2 20 psi
60 ft 1.948
12.729 @ 107.38
12 degree knock retard around 100mph

Third run
T2 18 psi
60 ft 1.973
1/4 12.9 @ 106.92
0 degree knock retard

MY mods are original motor 76K, pte 51, stg 3bar chip, 255lt fp, home made air to air and water injection, and a few other little things.
Also, stock wheels with some not so good viper tires.
I think my stock injectors are maxed out at 20psi .

Denny
Brooklyn NY
12.7 @ 107

Larry Brown's Ty did 12.5 @ 108 on a 20g, stock injectors

Ivan's did 12.9 @ 102 on stock turbo, stock injectors - I know a few others have done similar to this, but his was one of the first I believe.

My only question is why sre you going from 0* KR to 12* KR just from bumping up 2 lbs of boost? Seems a little excessive to me. Cause I can run 20 lbs on T1 with 92 octane and still stay around 5-6* KR, can't touch T2 will 92 though. What gas are you running?

1/2 tank 93 with 5 gallons 110 .

I was worried about the 12degree KR , that's why I took a 3rd run back at 18psi

BG,

Would going up from 18 to 20 psi push the stock injectors over the limit like that? And forgive me if this is a stupid question, but does running T1 or T2 make any difference in how hard you are pushing your injectors?

1 - hard to say. On the bigger turbos... you can make quite a bit more power going from 18 to 20psi.

2 - *shouldn't* - some timing might make a bit more power, and require a tad more fuel, so think of it that way....

Denny - see what version of chip you are running - it should say on the Eprom in the Ultimate hardware (in ECM, not display box).

Quite possibly. If you are seeing 20# of boost - that is another 2# of fuel pressure. Depending on base FP - could be maxed out. Could be other issues besides fueling also.

Since we're here - what is the fastest stock turbo, injector, and block Ty?

Brian, the chip is C3b16v7 , the 7 is written in pen, it overrides a 6. I got it from Todd A.

Thanks
Denny

Well my truck did it at 13.04@102mph everything stock, just the ultimate chip.

With my tune and me driving. ::thumbsup::

Geez, how long is the new owner allowed to boast of a timeslip that was earned by the prev. owner.

I think a month or two tops, as far as saying what the thing might run , but claiming it as your own just kinda irritates me for some reason.

Anyone else agree, Mytyphoon93 needs to run his truck before he posts any 1/4 ET's.

Well I guess you didnt read my post that well, I said my truck, I never said that I ran the 1/4 mile in that time, Im gonna take the truck to the track Aug 1st to smack some amg ml55 ass. I realize that yeah that mike is more experinced driver then me cause Ive never been to to the track and he also ran the truck in one of the best tracks in the world, but I have confidence in myself that Ill do good, and maybe run a 13 that night, hopefully not with a cracked passenger side cracked exhaust manifold.

To be accruate my old Ty ran 13.04 @100.51 with a 60 foot of 1.75 on April 29th, 1999. It was compeletly stock except for STG Ultimate (T1-20), shurflo pump, TCC lock up, and muffler delete. For what ever reason that truck ran really quick. Felt quicker than my current ty anyway.

Well that information helps me, but one more thing I would like to know, what were the track temps like.

From what I remember.... cool night, 50's, low humidity. I have the diacom file somewhere... no knock, perfect turbo weather.

Damm, nice weather but looks like Im gonna have to find some cheap mods that can give me an extra edge to try to do the same or even better.
