Raced a GN

Sunday at the races (ET brackets) I was able to put down some more 11 sec passes. 11.659 & 11.760. Actually letup at the end of the 11.760 pass. Anyway because of the number of cars we only got 2 time runs. The second, with the help of the line guy, I ran a GN. You can hit me now because I don't know his mods, if any.

Anyway, here's the #'s. Sorry I haven't figured out columns but you'll figure it out. The Sy is the first number.

60' 1.648 1.681
330 4.722 4.749
1/8 7.418 7.389
1/8mph 91.08 92.64
1000 9.722 9.689
1/4 11.659 11.663
mph 116.09 113.41

Interesting that he's quicker at 1/8 and 1000' then slows, I know he didn't let up.

This was also the best pass of the day. Fun.

Maybe he didn't lock up his torque converter?

It's always fun to have a good close race

Re: Raced a GN

It was time run, not eliminations, so nobody "won." however my RT was .120 and his was - .074. Consequently he was actually ahead of me the whole way. Had it been an actual race he would have red lit of course. Had we had identical RT's the MOV would have been .004,

Pretty comparable to what I ran with the GN. 11.6x at 112/113. It has old, mushy valvesprings, though, so that might be what limited his top end as well.

Six-is-Enough

Use to do a little Boost

X2. From the incremantals the Gn should have ran a 11.60 @ 117+.

Nice pass anyway though!

Re: Raced a GN

Just out of curiosity I looked up my RPM and Boost on DM for these 11.6 & 11.7 passes and it was 2300 @ 3.7 lbs and 2375 @ 4.6 lbs according to DM.

This truck has never liked hard (high boost) launches. Just wants to spin the tires. I wonder what it would do with street slicks and real boost launch?
