rear window button

Is this an ejector seat or something? it does nothing on my truck. Whats it supposed to do? Maybe I need to hook it up.

It unlatches the rear glass so you can open it.

I have the same problem... I looked at the syty service manual and the exploded view of the rear gate... I didn't see anything for an actuator that pops the glass. I checked the relay under the dash and that works and I hear the tailgate clicking, it's just not opening the glass. What am I missing here?

Mine does the same from the dash. Will open with the remote tho. I think resistance builds up in the switch. Jump it out with a good gauge wire?

Try cleaning the terminals at the back gate. They make contact. Inside the rear tailgate/hatch area.

Yes back left could be back right too. Been a while since I have had typhoon, but I did clean mine in rear. After a cleaning it always worked as to before cleaning it would just thud or attempt to pop. Cant remember if they were brass..and all Green/pátina... Some weird piece back there check it out see if it does anything.

Try adjusting the latch in the tail gate if its not set just right all you will get is a thud! If it doesn't even thud I think its wired thru the neutral safety switch I know mine only works in park not sure about neutral as i never tried it.
