Can anyone tell me anything about this truck? Seems well known and owned, and I'd like to make an offer IF the truck is right. Thank you for any info!!!

Is the owner a member here? I don't believe so since he's asking 17.5 and the truck has been sold a few times around 11-12. I really want this truck, so any info helps. Besides it being a sexy bitch....

And did anyone here sell it last to this person? When? Mileage? Issues? Price? I appreciate this info if available, because I really can't afford to overpay or buy something with issues. The description on eBay is so vague.

I think DCRACER is messing with you with his comment, HAHA. His sig has SY1364 sold and the last four digits of the truck on ebay is the same so im going to say it just might be the same truck...HAHA.
Looks nice but i do agree with you what kind of ad is that. It would have been better if it said "truck for sale look at pictures".. hahah.

Re: Red sy # 1364

Ok, so I went to check out this truck on Saturday for a member here. It is a very nice truck. It runs/ shifts great. Everything seams to work aside from the A/C.
Paint looks good except for a few issues..
There are a few rock chips on the front fenders, a small scratch here and there, and the tailgate has ware on top edge from the bed cover. Also I was able to see (at least on the cab cladding) that the cladding was left on when painted.

The seller made reference to it "skipping or jumping" when turning sharp on pavement... he told me he thought it was the backspacing on the front wheels. I told him it could be the Viscous Clutch in the TC.. it did not do this when I drove it but I did not turn full lock anywhere.
However I did notice when coasting down to a lower speed I could here what I believe to be the front diff making a noise. Fine under load. Also noticed the rear tires had much less tread then the fronts.
1 wheel had curb rash on the lip about half way around, the other 3 had a few small scuffs here and there.
The upper intercooler cap leaks.
The interior was very nice. Only thing I saw was maybe an 1/8 inch crack starting on pass side dash speaker. Oh ya, no seat pumps. Has after market CD and front speakers.
His "bottom dollar" seams to be $15k... I think its more of a $11-13k truck. (but what do I know):D

He has a loan on it so bank has the title.
If anyone has any questions I can ask the seller or ask him if he minds me giving out his number.

edit: pictures, cladding was removed, but wonder why they wouldnt just paint the whole thing..

truck has been around for awhile. i searched about this truck quite a bit back when it was for sale once before, the previous owner who redid it all has said some stuff on here before if you search hard enough for anyone interested enough.

Well I saw black clearly behind the rocker cladding on the passenger side @ the cab corner. Don't know what to tell ya. :dunno:
some pics show it taped off on bottom, other finish pics show it fully painted, can only go off the pics. weird tho..:squint:

Re: Red sy # 1364

yea sorry i didnt actually look at the pics close, go and look and they taped the bottom off with the cladding removed for some reason..?

No problem, I don't have a horse in this race as they say. Not my truck and I don't know the seller. Just trying to help out fellow syty'ers . I'd like it to find a "forever home" Its been passed around a bit lately.. :rotf:

Hell if I could throw that kind of cash around it would be hard not to take it home. I like a nice red head once in a while.

finished pics show it painted all the way down, dont know what to say..:dunno: but does look like a nice truck and like i said i looked into it quite a bit before, if i didnt already find my current truck this would probably be on its way home with me, because it does need a good home and not somebody to trash it.

I use to own this truck and was the one that had it painted back in 2000. I know for a fact that all of the cladding was removed when painted by my buddy who did body work as a profession. We shot it in his own garage at his house. The cladding was shot separately at the shop that he worked at because we needed the heat for the paint to stick to the cladding. I sold it in 2005. I saw it last year in Columbus Ohio when John owned it. No one has taken the time to address the paint chips with the correct Hot Licks Red paint. It was in decent shape and not even close to the condition it was when I sold it back in the day.

Not to sound like the truck has made its rounds but I also used to own it! Beautiful truck....hated to get rid of it but I ended up buying my wife another vehicle. Let me know if you have any questions.....Vader Sy bought it from me about 2 years ago? (maybe 1 1/2 years :dunno: ) Before that DC Racer owned it for a while. Again ask me questions if you have any and I will be more than happy to let you know the condition I had it in.
