Well I've been I member for a while now and really don't post much but I figure I'd make a build thread not only motivation for me but maybe for some others out there. I turn a wrench for a living so on my free time I sometimes don't feel like doing it especially after turning a 75-100 hour weeks lol. I have met some really awesome people over the years being on here and hopefully I will make it to some meets even if my truck isn't done. This project will be a project not something that's going to be done in a year or 2. I will be doing almost all the fabrication myself. Only thing I'm not doing is paint and body work, don't have the patience for that.
Well onto the build plan, sorry it's not staying v6 (1 main reason I sold my lower mileage one). 408 TT AWD street/drag. Will retain ac heat radio power options. 12 bolt rear and 4l80e with trans brake. Will have a cage cause I do want to go to a track and get told to leave. Probably going to go e85 fuel. Goal is 9.5 1/4 mile times or better :D.
I will be posting up a part out thread for the drive train and many other parts to help start the funding to this future BEAST. I will try to post up some pics tomorrow. Like I said it will be a slow process since I still need to get my compressor and tig welder in the next couple of months for the garage.

Re: Sy #1991

Hopefully going to make faster progress now that my air compressor is wired and plumbed.

You aren't in the "cool group", so don't take it personal.

Need a power cord hose real too, just right next to each other.

Guess I'm not lol. Yeah I'm doing some different outlets in the garage. The garage project has been taking most of my time

GLWB.. Looks like your off to a strong start. What was the LS out of originally?

4.8 out of a Sierra don't remember what year. I can look it up tomorrow at work. Paid just a cheap core charge and got harness with it.

Re: Sy #1991

Build has change a little since my first post, no a/c now and a 4.8 single 76mm. Still staying AWD!!!! Doing the 4.8 for now just to get on the road faster and get chassis dialed in.

4.8's like boost more anyway because of the flat top pistons they have. cant go wrong with any ls based truck engine for boost applications. they were almost designed for it hahaha.
