If anyone needs parts......
If anyone needs parts......
yeah I just saw this too. Makes me sad for us as a species.
I hate people.

:rant:That is f**king sick!!! What is wrong with these so called people ? That guy is a lier, their is no way that someone would't bought it for $500!
Maybe its me, but when i see a vehicle:steamer: go to such a waste, its like seing a animal being torcherd to death.
If nobody here saw the ad, I wouldn't doubt it. If he ran it for a week, and nobody sees...
Furthermore, he would likely not have gotten the CFC price for it, with all that was wrong with it. Look at the pricing here, among people who really know what they are.
So, you're left with the choice of $4500 towards a new car with CFC, or, best case, $2500 on the open market. (If you're really lucky) Plus, dealing with all the selling hassles.
I don't know too many people who are gonna take a $2000 beating just to keep a 200k+ mile, beat up, blown-motor truck out of the junkyard.
The lot caught it, and will get the unique parts off it. What's left, outside of a VIN number, is ordinary S-truck parts.
Why is this any worse than someone parting a marginal one out?
The only good parts though would be possible interior pieces. As upset as this whole situation makes me, I'm sure the mechanicals are beat to all hell. I can't imagine a 225K xfer case not needing to be gutted. Oh well, more just sad that this beauty is suffering the same fate as some fart-ball 1988 Carolla.

Just got off the phone with them and the guy I spoke to said he doesn't know why they still have it sitting there, but have not started to part it out and may not be able to part it out due to being cash for clunkers vehicle. I also asked if I could buy as complete and I was told no due cash for clunkers. Sounds like we won't be able to save this one, but may be able to get parts. The guy I spoke with said to call back every couple days to see if they are able to part out.
