I don't wanta go too far with this because we all know the canadians rule, and an 11.0 ain't no 10.71, but my 11.008 was stock l35 heads, stock manifolds, stock intake, 63 turbo, chip, single intake walbro, 50# injectors, you get the point, pretty much the basic bolt on stuff with a good cam and turbo.

Wow mark, I had no idea you were using stock manifolds and l35 heads, stock no less, and a 63turbo, that is smaller than the canadians used right, they had a 72, wow, man that is awesome and that would be cool for you to run a 10 on those parts, did you lighten your truck any?

So what will you try next to get a couple more tenths?

Dam mark, after thinking about that some more you must have the fastest mostly stock truck , 50lb injectors, stock ecm, 1 fuel pump, your truck is bad ass, hows your 60fts and what tire do you run.

Well, lets say I've been trying very, very hard for those tenths, and in the last year I've added fully ported l35s, upgraded my 63 to a 70 wheel, and my best this year is a crappy 11.2 @ 124, I guess I'm getting slower.

The only thing that might be holding me off a few tenths is I'm running 92 octane and alky, which "I think" is as good as normal run of the mill race gas, but might not work as well as C16, don't know for sure.

I tried dumping in some 112 at nationals but it did nothing, in fact my best run at nationals was on pure 92, which was an 11.3 @ 121.

I've found a few things that's help considerably (gearing) , but I haven't ran since nats.

I was running BFG's (1.58 60'), but now I'm running kumhos. I switched to regular street tire because I've decided I don't wanta break drivetrain anymore and my truck loves the shorter tire.

My truck worked good with the BFG's, and much worse with the Hoosier QuickTimes which were about 6% taller than the BFG's, which are about 6% taller than the stockers 245/50/16, so I'm now (just this week) running 12% less tire than at nats, the truck feels faster, is faster, and doesn't run out off gear at the top. If I can hook it, even 1.6's, it'll run better.

Actually I think those number are off a bit, I calculated them while I was using a set of 225/50/16's auto cross tires which were a little shorter than stock.

well, dad does the first little bit with the tuning and the last time we had it tuned was b4 the '02 nationals last year. we took it to precision turbo and engine in hebron, indiana and they put the finishing touches on it. i think we might have a little too much fuel it in but id rather have too much than not enough. keeps it from spittin up! dad does a little and they put the icing on the cake. my dad and i have watched the video several times of our last run and one thing we noticed was that it never missed a lick all the way down and thats exactly what we want!!!!! ::eek:k::

Maybe you should have two lists. One dedicated to an "anything goes" top ten and then another list for stock trucks with the original motor/heads/ecm/drive train etc and just bolt ones.i.e. turbos, cool air, exhaust etc.

I think it shoudl just be an all out fastest list, with a simple note of AWD and RWD along side each truck.

To keep things simple.

Fast is fast, yet AWD fast seems to get more respect.

Its not my site but I think the list should be awd only and still street legal, or a awd class and 2wd class, I am with alot of people that believe that if you make the truck 2wd then , well, you pretty much have a s-10 that has cladding and looks cool.

Dont get me wrong, I do respect all those out there trying to run really fast, but the awd is what makes the truck so much fun on the street and the look on peeps faces when you put 4-5-6 car lengths on them out of the hole is priceless, well at least after the race. :D :D

BG truck is still around, but it is a completely different set up and I don't believe it is finished yet.

If your going to include BG truck, Pete H. truck ran a 10.9 though it doesn't have the combo anymore.

Well I can tell you one thing for sure... and I saw this year at the NATS.

Someone already said it.. you don't have a 10 second truck until you have a timeslip. If someone is already telling people they have a 10 second Ty.. be ready for the shit storm when it doesn't run a 10. It is not as easy as putting money in and throwing parts at it.

Matt.. as far as your truck goes.. there is one thing that ALWAYS impressed me from the first time I saw it.... CONSISTENCY... to me... having one 10 second timeslip does not make a 10 second truck.. having a pile of them does.

That is my $0.02 worth.

Wow this got off topic fast.

The plan for my site is the top 10 fastest trucks. This means no matter if it's rwd, fwd or awd. Any intake, anything goes. The only requrement is that the truck must be a valad SyTy Vin #. If the truck blew up, caught on fire etc it will remain in the list as long as it's a valad vin #. If the truck was sold after the run, if the truck took on a differnt build etc it will also remain in the list.

People put alot of time/money into these things and for what? To be discredited and decline rights to have the fastest SyTy because it's RWD is stupid.

I will implement a notation like Jeff said classifying it as RWD or AWD. But like I said before it's stupid to say someone is not part of the SyTy group because they are RWD or have a custom intake. They are going the extra step outside of the norm to go as fast as they can and should be credited just as much as someone who's running a truck that's AWD with minor mods if not more.

As stated before, as long as you have a valad Vin # that is a SyTy vin and it's fast it qualifies for my list on my website. If you dont like that then get someone to copy my idea and do their own thing on another SyTy site. Ok, enough.
