You want to launch your truck in D as there is more line pressure in D and it will be easier on your transmission. I flip my manual lockup switch soon as I pre stage at the track. The truck won't lock the converter until it shifts into second gear BTW. Stage, launch and you're on your way to shaving .2 off your ET easy (my bud with a loose 9/11 picks up .5 when he locks his TC

). After I go through the traps at the end of the track, I flip my lockup switch off and slap the shifter into OD so that I don't annhilate the overrun clutches. My manual lockup switch is located right above my headlight switch so that I can get to it easily. Don't sound too bad until you try to remember to do it all at the track... HTH's
