i have ty 1011 with stock bottom and vortec heads with 205 160 valves with 50# injectors the turbo is a t-66 p trim with a (4") intake and kg chip. a guy i know wants to race me when the truck comes home from the body shop. he has headers throttle body plate and chip in a svt lighting. what are my chances of beating him? he comes from a family that likes to race so he can drive. he thinks he has the fastest truck around. i would like to shut him up!!!!!!!!!!!!

she is running high 12's at best i'd guess...if you aren't running low 12's, something isn't right with your truck...i don't even think it would be close, however i don't with the stock bottom end, those head, that turbo, and big boost, i see a Kaboom in the near future.

She probably also has a pulley,which would put her in mis 12s with a decent 60'.I would think you'd be right there .No pulley she's yours.

If its running/tuned properly and you motor can spin up that 66 you should win no problem.

i think you will win easily. she could get over zealous and spin the rear tires on the launch, while you pull off a nice AWD launch. and yes race for a date if shes hot!

I think youll take her... your setup can breath real nice, as long as the chip is deceant and your tuned and running properly.. and the tranny's ok, and you can boost launch right?

To bad you don't have a custom tunning on that chip to really take advantage of your setup.

Friend of mine has an 01 L with catback, built tranny, mickey thompson street slicks, a few dyno runs and he's been running 12.66's and does extremly well hooking on the street so make sure you can spool that turbo and get a decent launch

the deal was if i win (which i know i will) he picks the room where i can have some fun with him. his face alright but the body is an A++++++++++.he has never seen a ty or sy or even heard of them.he told his dad about (not the room part) it and he told him to be careful because the ty's and sy's are very fast trucks.i think the guys boy friend (if that what he is to him) is gasing him up making him think that the lighting are unbeatable. hahahahaha.. the truck is still at the body shop that i work at. after i beat him the engine is comming out and i'm haveing it fully built 30 over with 4 bolt and some oliver's or eagle and srp piston's. and fully porting out the heads and polish. not sure on the cam yet. should i keep that turbo or go with the gt35r. oh ya and tun tun tun.....how fast do you think i can go on 93 octane and maybe with some alky. i would like to able to drive around not only to race.
