wheel hop while launching

Next week i'm planning of going to the track, and i fixed some stuff before i go. new transfer case and installed fron end limiters.

i tried launchin my truck a few times, and i have extreme wheel hop. is there something easy so i can fix that?
i have tried to search, but no results?

Sounds like the transfer case is slipping really bad & spinning the rears to much causing wheel hop. Stock leaf springs suck as it is & don't help. New shocks will help also.

i already swapped the transfercase for another one, since i had the feeling my VC was bad. gonna install new shocks than, before i hit the track

yeah man!! big thanks for your help! it's running pretty well, just need to get the inspection done...steering boot has a hole.

ok, i did both, and i luanched it harder than i normally do..13psi and instead of the 20-30 hops i got in 1 launch, it went down to about 2 hops. amazingly!

Thanks guys. last year did 12.2 @ 115mph with crappy 1.8 60 ft. on 15psi.
my upgrades since than. Alky injection 18psi boost, drag radials in the rear. and front end imiters. and what has been discussed in here.

Thats pretty quick for such bad 60ft times. Get those to 1.6 range, and you'll easily be in the 11's....Nice job

Im curiuos as to how much difference those clamps on the leafs do. What shocks did you get?

KYB. i bought them along time ago for another truck, never threw them on, they are alot stiffer compared to the billsteins i took off, but than again they also might have been worned out,
normally i could launch at 7psi with extreme hopping.

If you can find a set. No longer made. Chris from CBRPerformance stopped making them.
You would have to find a set used. I have the battle bars myself and I believe they are a superior design to the Cal-Tracs. They don't rattle like the Cal-Tracs and they push on the rear of the leaf and use the energy in the springs from a launch to help control axle wrap. Compare them both. Cal-Tracs will work and many use them but they are not the same for sure. Hopefully someone pics up Chris' design rights (patented or at least patent applied for.) and makes them again.

CAL-TRACS here...they dont rattle..at least I cant hear them over everything else happening around me!!
