wheel spin while launching?

Im not really sure if this is the right spot to post this ? but here it goes. If I can get good enough pressure on the brakes when Im going to launch sometimes the rear tires break loose while im boosting up. Is this a good thing or a bad thing? Will it hurt my launch/ ET times? :dunno:

The only thing I do different from the link above is when I first start to rev while holding the break. I pump it once or twice. Then keep revving until it goes down more. That's held me to 15lbs at the line before and almost everytime in my truck.

Yea the best thing to do is to go with 7/8 wheels cylinders and also double primary pads.
I have held over 15psi on them in the shop just to see if the rear would break loose and didn't so i was pleased.
Also the baers in the fronts helped the fronts from rolling any.

I've heard stock converters allowing boost spikes up to 22 PSI with the Kaboom chip.

It's just a six

I can run from 0- 20 lbs if I want to w/my stock converter..... but it blows the tires away, above 12 psi, damm original dried out Firestones.

I had that problem as well, 7/8 rear wheel cylinders fixed it.

+1

I just did this upgrade (along with larger shoes). Before, it looked like a RWD brake stand above 0psig. Now I can hold 10psi and I don't even have to do the neutral rev trick.

Now I just have massive wheel spin to contend with when I let off the brakes.
