TV boost for the short one & the long one is the pressure regulator valve.
They go in the transmission pump.

PR valve even has the land ground off to prevent "buzz".

Measure the inside of the cup (or the plunger inside it), you'll know what you have. My bet is that it's a .490

so someone has worked this trans before?

very very interesting. came off my 92 and had it lying around. I guess these came out with the tv cable when the engine got pulled 2 years ago (has it really been that long?!)

Considering I NEVER did any work to the trans and neither did my Dad to my knowldege, this main dealer serviced one owner Ty is revealing some interesting secrets.
