if the distributor on my ty heats up, is it possible that the connection can be lost cuz of the heat? could it take some time too cool down to start. i need some help cuz im gunna go look for one tomorrow.
alright good to go im gunna look into that.TYTILIDIE said:Damn Steve, dont start throwing parts at it. Youre going to pay a but load of money for nothing. A bad pickup coil can cause this along with the IGN MOD. Pick up coils rarely go bad. Dont be mad if you put a new dist in there and it doesnt solve your problem. Do like I said, get Datamaster going and buy yourself a FP test gauge, they are $40 at Autozone. Start there before you dump money into parts.
hey where in socal are you from, anyway yea it turns over but wont start, i just changed the IGMOD and it stoped for a bit but now its doin it again. i have checked my fuel press at the rail also it sqirts out good im getting a fuel press test gague tomorow. i havent changed the cap an rotor but iv only had the car bout 6 months.JustBeachin said:Can you describe your symptoms when it won't start? Does it turn over? Does it turn over, but just not start? Have you checked your fuel pressure at the fuel rail? When was the last time you changed your cap and rotor?
But if you want to start replacing parts till you get the right one, you can start at the distributor if you like.
changed it along with the iackentuc said:You should try changing the module first.
