brake-light switch

for the brake-light switch at the peddal, there are two switches>one top and one bottom. which is which and what is what? my brake lights stay on some times. don't know if it is going out or if needs to be adjusted. anybody deal with this before? help appreciated

I believe it is the top one, to adjust it you have to rotate the switch I believe. Switch is properly adjusted whenbrake lights operate when brake pedal is depressed .53 inch from normal position.

one is for the shift linkage (you can't put truck in reverse without your foot on brake pedal) the othe is for the light. I believe the top switch is for the light. You can adjust both. Tight'n light switch so it is flush on brake with foot off brake pedal.

no problems w/tc just b-lights. thanx for the info. i will try all of your recommendations and see where it takes me. it's annoying cuz sometimes i got to the truck in the morning and see that my lights were left on all night and no one says a thing to me :rant: and when my neighbor leaves his lights on i will go over and tell him.

sounds like you should keep quiet, hide his cables and offer to rent yours
