Yes, that is my house under my neighbor's hemlock tree.
High winds took it down...up-rooted.
At least it isn't on the garage!
The Syclone is safe!
No one was hurt, just the house.

Re: A Memorable New Year...

Wow, that doesn't even look like a tree fell on it. It looks like someone tried to hide a house by covering it with tree branches. Your not trying to avoid property taxes, are you. You expecting a visit from your mother-in-law? had lots of money on the colts to win the Super Bowl...

Re: A Memorable New Year...

The tree hit high on the roof and slid down the roof. The bricks took the hit but the aluminum drip edge, shingles and some of the roof planking (tongue and groove) are poked thru. I put plywood over the holes in fear of rain and stretched a tarp over everything after the tree was removed. It took out the electric, phone, cable wires on that side of the house. Because it was a holiday (New Year's eve) it surprised me anyone would come at all but the tree guys came and an electrician friend put my wires back in order until the local utility could run a new tri-plex to the house. The adjustor just came yesterday and took a look and said I would be covered under wind damage. The tree was taller than the house is wide for sure...it was a big one and it had two main trunks shaped like a "V". Starting to get back to normal.
