Re: HX55 turbo
hx55 would be way too big, might work better on an LSX based setup. you might want something along the specs of an HY35 with a much smaller exhaust housing.
Re: '92 Typhoon in Siberia
sounds like the timing is off....due to the loose distributor
pretty cool to see how far these trucks have traveled across the world
Re: Converting to an "On-The-Block" Oil Filter
for those still interested, just ask for a filter for a 2006 silverado with a 4.3. My fullsize came with the little filter and a 4.5 quart oil capacity. I just use the longer s-series filter on my truck and fill with 5 quarts.
for all those who need the gasket kit, I found it online at www.napaautoparts.com
the part # is NGAGS33281
Price $3.49

I got a perfect oil line off of an 88 4x4 blazer yesterday. Do you happen to know the part # of the NAPA gasket kit cuz the parts guys around here are real lazy and would rather look for 2 mins and tell me "we don't stock that part" than actually spend some time looking for it.
thanks
I already checked my local dealer and all they could find was the l bracket for the bottom of the support. Is it normal for them to ask for the truck's VIN # when looking for syty specific pieces? I just told them that i had a blazer and was looking to add on a syty front bumper and all they...
the mount brackets that sandwich between the bumper cover support and the ends of the framerails? I need a pair for my ty bumper.
don't mean to pirate a pic but here is the pieces i am talking about:
#'s 24 and 27 are what i need

Well i finished the surface with Bondo "ultimate" but there is still a little warpage on the surface that is barely noticable...otherwise it came out perfect after primering...
