    Oil pan options?

Gents, I have loaded a few pictures of different four bolt caps that I currently run or have ran in the past. There appears to be a change in design as I am looking at them. Pic 0398 is an old style bowtie two piece main, Pic 0887 is a stock block that has been converted, and Pic 1090 is an...

    Oil pan options?

Yep all the points stated above are good points. I personally line up the return/drain back line up with the cap as to keep the oil from getting caught in the crank windage. The amount of oil is minimal coming from the turbo but it is there. The other thing is that I have a kick-out built...

    Oil pan options?

Gents, It is more than clearance for the rods. Most won't need to but the main Reason to work on the oil pan is for oil control. Even on a stock motor it could use oil control. 2 cents Thanks, Bob

    Oil pan options?

Dan, I have up-loaded some pictures below. The steel one is a stock pan that has been modified. i also have another one that doesn't have the extension on the bottom. the Alum is what I have built for my different motors for the Lunch Money truck. As you can see I kick out the Passenger side...

    Oil pan options?

Dan, Not sure what Pan you are wanting to run but there are a lot of different styles that Stefs has built in the past (I have had them build two different pans for me). As Syclone0517 has stated the older and newer blocks have a different bolt pattern due to the different main seal area. I...

Play in new jeep steering shaft

Sir, Spin it to get the bolt up and use a long extension. Then use a small hammer and tap it up. Make sure the shaft can collapse might need to spray a little oil in there if it is an old removal. Hope this make sense. Bob

WTB Brodix 23 degree heads valve covers

Gents, Interesting on the 231 using the same gaskets. I will have to dig around and see if the old Valve covers and gaskets fit the Brodix heads. Side note: Was working on my stage 2 Buick motor yesterday as the push rods were almost hitting the heads on the way to full lift. Bob

    Josh's Syclone build thread

Yep mine was 2.300. Might not be an issue with a mild build/run around town unit but if you really want to push one it most likely an issue. Bob

    Josh's Syclone build thread

Josh, You should see a big drop in exhaust temperature and back pressure. By chance did you measure what the hole/crimp size was as I am curious to see if they were all the same? Happy spooling!!!!!!! Bob

AND INTO THE 9’s I GO

Nice job Mike, I will give you a call later this week to discuss the possible path forward. Gents the turbo that Mike was running is most likely the best street turbo out there. Mike just stepped a little to the right on his combo and I believe has maxed it out for what was doing. Bob

    Engine Removal

Just went back and looked at the damage. Would recommend looking at the bottom of the bore into the main web. I bet the main web is cracked and maybe/along with the crank. Hate to say it but might be time to find another setup. Won't know until you get everything apart and magged. Bob
