Good source for a copper heater core?

The only one I could find was from a website called Radiator Express, dunno if theyre legit or a search bait site. The local shops (Autozone,NAPA,etc) only have the cheap aluminum ones.

R134A conversion...what all parts do you need?

The guy was very knowledgeable. He said DO NOT put Freeze12. It's part 134 and some other refrigerant and tends to separate. It's like the EPA bullshit rigged the system so its now designed to change refrigerant every so many years. If you still have 100% R12 system, put R12. If you convert to...

    Clean and protect cladding

If you still have the stock single stage paint. The only thing I found that kept it clean was Meguiars Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner (Discontinued). All the other steps (Compound,Polish,Wax) hazed over the paint. So if you find something that is like a SUPER mild polish it might work as good.

Good source for new body mounts?

Looking for new body mounts. I was under the Ty and noticed the driver side mid body mount can be spun with your fingers it was so pancaked. RockAuto doesn't have them. This is all I found...

R134A conversion...what all parts do you need?

Thanks. Having a guy give me options this week. 33K miles, original R-12, original everything. Just not enough pressure on the dryer to kick it on. I'll post results too so we all have an idea of whats available these days.

What are you guys using these days for rear drums?

I figure now since it's getting springy sometimes at stops, I should change the drum and adjust it. shoes should be OK. What brand are you guys using? I usually use Bendix. Do they still sell the aluminum drums? UPDATE: Ended up replacing with ACDELCO 18B201 and replaced a leaky cylinder...

    PLX Guage Display Dead

Scrambled screen again yesterday. It actually was fine the day before which was hotter. Just gonna put it back up reorienting the Profec to be on top. Hopefully fixing the AC will help it not be scrambled too often. Getting back into modeling for prints, after a 4 month hiatus, has been fun.

    PLX Guage Display Dead

The most I can do for now. I'm at the mercy of none of my usual tools/space, and I'm not a fan of working in the street. I'll update if it takes a shit again.

    PLX Guage Display Dead

WIP, mounts close to the center console under the dash. A print of a previous version without a back cover, and unnecessarily wider, is working out nicely.

    PLX Guage Display Dead

It LIVES! I'm gonna print a shield to put above it, with a double air-gap to protect it from the sun. But it's for sure the heat. It scrambled the next time I started the car after this pic. Anyways, I'll check out the Scanmaster G. The PLX is simulating the narrowband to the ECU so the brain...

    PLX Guage Display Dead

The PLX digital display looks like this now. Most likely because of the heat in Mission Viejo today. The LEDs work, just the center digits are scrambled: I think it's dead dead. I guess the best option is move these two to under the dash area and buy a new display in the future. 🤷‍♂️

Any sources for Typhoon rear shock hoses or hose ends to keep original leveler system?

Welp.yep.RIP. Pulled the fuse and reconnected the connector. In true SyTy fashion I now have a parakeet under the car when it's moving. I'm thinking the rotors are glazed since I didnt turn 'em, but that's another adventure... Update: ordered a set of ACDelco air shocks from RockAuto. I like...

Any sources for Typhoon rear shock hoses or hose ends to keep original leveler system?

Any sources for Typhoon rear shock hoses or hose ends to keep the original leveler system? Something blew and the pump kept running. Guessing a nipple-chop. For now I disconnected it from just behind the rear left tire rather than pull a fuse.

Aren't there supposed to be bushings/orings at the tip of the guide pins?

It's not on the car and not on the diagram at the Chevy dealer here, so F it. Must be a groove for another GM caliper type or something. Brakes feel good too.

Aren't there supposed to be bushings/orings at the tip of the guide pins?

Like in that groove above the threads? I got a hardware kit that came with only the orings for the slide and other end (4small 4big). I have to finish this brake job and see if I can get them somewhere close. I'm not home so this is a PITA.

Still looking for recommendations on 1-2 acres in Socal

Im looking in Vegas now. I put in an offer and the dude didn't like the contingency that my house sells so I'm waiting on my sale then at least I'll try for something fully paid. My agent is gonna give me final offers this afternoon. If I don't get enough from my house to live comfortably in...

Anyone have an "ideal boost curve : RPM" for a bone stock Typhoon?

Just an update: I adjusted the WG arm out more (no preload) and it went from 16.9 to 15.4. Smooth AF. Our gas here is solid dogshit, and with WOT through the gears I finally have no skips/pinging. Just a nice strong squat n go. I COULD go another half a turn on the eyelet to try and hit high 14...

Still looking for recommendations on 1-2 acres in Socal

House should be selling soon. I have a cash buyer and the agent has people she thinks will offer more. Still looking to build my own workshop anywhere from LA to SD, 1-2 acres. The price I'm looking for is close to $400K so I have enough for the structure and interior. Then I can get back to...

Eddie Van Halens Syclone is in Redondo Beach

This doesn’t count as a sighting, but a guy pulled up to me at a light and said his friend “has Eddie Van Halens“ and lives in Redondo Beach. I didn’t recognize the owners name he said. As the light turned green he said “his doesn’t have the back. It looks like a truck.” So for guys keeping a...
