My serpentine belt is loose and need help on how to diagnose why the belt is loose. The belt is in route of all the pulleys. Is there a way to tighten the belt to get rid of the slack?

Hot weather problems! Hot weather problems! In hot weather it will crank , but it wont start. Pressing the gas pedal all the way down doesn't help. Usually 15 to 20 minutes later it will start with no problem.

Today i started my typhoon and went to safeway, (only 2 minutes away). Came back out about ten minutes later and it didn't start. It will crank and crank but wont start. I came back about 1 hour later and it started. Has anyone experienced any similar problems. There is gas in the truck.
