Got no answer in the elecrtics area
We need a 16v battery, a booster or 16v altenator
any thoughts on that ?

Weeell... They do make an 8 volt bat. A 6v with an extra cell. Often used in old cars to help them get started. They are commonly charged by cranking up the old style voltage regulator. Not sure how you’d charge ‘em today. Anyway you could tie a couple of them together to make 16 volts.

Yeah they have 16 volt batteries. Quite a few drag only cars use them. You can even get some of the 16 volt batteries with a 12 volt post on it as well

Racers in all forms of motorsports have made the switch to 16 Volts. As the innovator of the 16 volt concept to racing, New Castle Battery is proud of the fact that more than 95% of the competitors in the National Hot Rod Association's (NHRA) professional drag racing class of Pro Stock and the International Hot Rod Association's (IHRA) professional classes of Pro Stock and Pro Modified have made the switch to the TurboStart 16 volt system. The patented TurboStart 16 volt system is also widely used in circle track racing including such sanctions as NASCAR, Busch Grand National, and ASA. The secret behind 16 volts is the performance advantage gained from the hotter spark produced by the higher voltage. Additional 16 volt benefits include a faster spinning starter and higher volume flow from electric water pumps and fuel pumps. The excessive vibrations and electrical demands that racing puts on a battery are a true test of its durability. We take what we learn at the racetrack and apply that knowledge to every TurboStart battery we build. Many of the top race car engine and chassis builders now recommend using the TurboStart 16 volt racing battery over a conventional 12 volt battery.

Just get the turbostart battery, the step down box, and the morosso 12v/16v charger. If you need an alternator they make a mini 16V 55A which may be enough to keep you going at the track without having to put the charger on it between rounds. Allows you to run whatever you need on 12V and whatever you choose on 16V. The batterys that have the different voltage posts on them are said to be problematic.
