20g Hybrid

I have been talking to Reed at turbo specialists, about options available for 20g. These use the 20g exhaust side, and a garret compressor. I believe Waller had this done, and has pics on his webpage.

1) 16CM Turbine housing, P-Trim turbine wheel, 62-1 compressor wheel, Garrett GT series compressor housing, Internally wastegated. Will support a true 900cfm of bolt on air flow. This is my best street unit, and we have dyno numbers to the low 500 number on the Sy/Ty.

2) 16CM turbine housing, P-trim turbine wheel, 63mm TO4S compressor wheel and GT series compressor housing, internal gate and will support an honest 1000cfm. Dyno'd to 547 Whp. A little lag on the street.

3) 16CM, Q-trim, T-72, TO4S compressor housing, internal gate...will do 1200cfm or 600-625 whp. Works with the Vortec heads, but need a stout bottom end with at least 3400 convertor.

4) 16CM, Q-trim, T-76, TO4S, internally gated...we have several mid to low 9 sec. V-6 guys with this.

Numbers 1 &2 are a direct bolt on with AC, and come complete with everything needed to install, number 3 &4 will go on with AC...just a couple of tricks to get them to work. I run the 1st turbo with great success on my GN...

FYI, for anybody with 20 wanting to upgrade, but not go PTE route. I still think PTE route is best, if you have stock setup though. But this is an option.

16cm2 housing bolts up to stock downpipe?

FWIW, i think this will be laggy as hell, for anyone NOT doing a heads/cam setup.

14cm is much more popular than a 12cm.

Dunno why 16, that's gonna take awhile to spool I'd imagine.
Then again if they are using internal PTE style wastegates with the port knocked out may not be so bad with a 'verter.
