Do you have a power programmer on your truck (assuming it is diesel powered and not gasoline)? I averaged 15.4 pulling a load at 70-75 MPH. Bought a programmer and bumping up my HP 120 and my torque 180 yielded a 19.8 average at the same speeds. Doesn't make sense to me but it works.....just spits out some black smoke cover (unspent fuel residue) at full throttle to annoy people beside/behind me. Backing off to 55-60 increased my mileage to 22.4 MPG but I am not a fan of going slow.
what truck do u have and what motor? and which programer r u using that m p g is great
My brothers truck has a smarty jr. How much weight do you tow? Auto? We got an auto pulling 15,000lbs through the hills.

Wyoming!!!
I've never heard of anyone being to happy to be in Utah then Wyoming. Great progress guys, awesome thread!
Oh, that payload would make a difference. I figured about 3500 for each truck + 2500 for the trailer but I was 6500 pounds short.
I run a featherlight trailer and loaded tow weight is normally around 5500-6000. Our roads are semi flat within 450 mile radius of Nashville.
Mine is an auto but I am seriously considering getting a new truck with a 6 speed. Someone informed me a couple weeks ago that Dodge is now offering a lifetime warranty on the cummins equipped trucks as long as they are originally owned but I have yet to validate that.
