4.3 motor????

im new to the game so i have some questions if sombody could answer

is the block on a n/a 4.3 the same as a turbo one?
what is the difference between an AWD transfer case and a jimmy 4x4 one?

Blocks are the same, but you need to use Sy/Ty specific main caps. As for the transfer case I am not sure.

without stating the obvious on the xacse, they are totally different. chain size and the fact that the 4wd ones are shiftable and must have a lever to use them. torque biasing is also different between the 2. 4wd is 50-50 and the syty ones is 65-35 or something close to that.

the internals on the na and turbo motors are different too right? (forged on turbo etc...?)

i believe the turbo uses a slightly lower compression ratio and different rods, but i'm pretty sure they didn't come forged, or nobody would be breaking their trucks:roll:

syty=nodular mains,8.3:1 compression,hyperutectic pistons,same block no balance shaft, viscous clutch Borg-Warner 4472 full time transfer case{same as in astros and bravadas}.
