Finally got the motor out... Learned some things.
The good!:
Eagle Rods
.040+ SRP dished Pistons (8:1?)
Cyl walls look good, still has nice cross hatching from 2005 when this was last rebuilt.
4 bolt center main caps with ARP studs
Has an iron Front Diff with a beefy prop shaft
The bad!:
Oil pan is garbage. Previous owner added a pre lube electric oil pump. Leaks from every fitting practically even on the pan. It has to go.
Lots of silicone in the oil pan and some stuck on the oil pickup
Engine block had 1 solid motor mount and 1 energy suspension poly mount... That's why a header tube was rubbing on the steering shaft, the driver side was lower than the passenger side.
Electrically this thing is torn up. Needs some TLC
The old PT68 turbo is worn out... Looking at a new PT6262 turbo with a .68 AR
Now I'm just going to fix all the oil leaks, make sure the bearings are still good and port match the lower intake to the heads. Possibly a new cam, FAST XFI and E85 fuel.
Fastest ET's I could find were 117-119. I hope to be in the low 120's.
