8" K&N Filter Q

Already tried to do a search, the system is down.

Bought the 8" K&N from ATR and I have two questions.

1. Does the filter need to be modified? Because I seem to be missing the fit by about 1/2 an inch.
2. Where do you run line that is attached to the airbox?

2. Most people just put a K&N breather in the valve cover.

People who are running the cone style filters on the stock crossover tube are using a smaller K&N (not sure of the part number) or another brand of filter. I removed the crossover tube, relocated my battery, modified my transmission lines and made a custom adapter pipe to get mine on. And as InvisiBill stated, just run breather for the PCV line. HTH's
