Hey I plan to spend somewhere between 1000-2000, maybe more later, on my truck. After I have completed the SyTy Readme list what should I buy for it power wise. I just want bolt ons. Rule out exhaust because my friend is gonna put on a custom 3'' from the turbo to tailpipe. Keep in mind this is my daily. Anyone know about the stall converters like a 2800 will i loose gas milage? thanks please feel free to email me
later

Some advice...

Take it slow, or you'll be saving for a motor.

Syty's are NOT Mustangs or Camaros... done right, they go fast, done wrong, they blow up fast.

Best places to spend the money are the ones that won't make you go faster right away - fuel system, intercooler system, regular maintenance items, scan tool. Do a full 3" exhaust, you'll find you overboost. Overboost is NOT good. A slight turbo upgrade might be a good idea at that point.

I still say take it slow, see what your budget can allow for. Are you doing your own installs? Are you going to be doing the tuning on it? Are you going to be doing the troubleshooting on it?

I would keep it all in the bank until you get the knock retard to less than 2.0 degrees at WOT on your DataMaster scan tool. Seriously!!

Rear sway bar.
Intercooler... upgrade pump and add a heater core (chiller)

Get familiar with things for at least a year or more before you start doing any major changes to the truck.

You'll spend 1-2k on everyday stuff with these trucks. Run your truck with what it has, and get a g-tech.

I pulled the propshaft off my truck and had it rebuilt for ~$60. Nothing wrong with it though, just felt it was a good deal. When I held the propshaft, you could tell it was pretty loose. After the mech replaced the joints it was much tighter.

Little things you do will add up quick, but can save you having to dump a lot of cash if you don't keep up with your truck.

Just some ideas.

Keep the cat unless you get a wastegate on the crossover..

What are your ultimate goals with the truck ?
What do you plan on doing with the truck ?

Can make some suggestions if we know that next month you are putting an oddfire stroker in it... or if its just a daily....or you are going to try and autocross it...

Its better to buy the right parts the first time...
