Sand Storm

Hey guys. This is my first post on here and I plan on it to be the first of many. I should start by saying thanks for the great info. I've already collected from the search function. Looks like some of you guy's really know your stuff! I am a frequent on the DSM(Eclipse/Talon) forums and have accomplished alot with my Eclipse. Now I think its time to bring my turbocharging/tuning knowledge and fabrication abilities to another realm of the auto world. I originally planned to build a sand rail dunebuggy with the typhoon set-up I have sitting in my shop right now (hence my username) but have since decided against the idea mostly because of the cost of a transmission it would take to hold up to the hp I would be putting to it. Which leads me to my current situation. Here I sit with literally, everthing that makes a typhoon what it is minus the front differential and the rear end. All for $1200, which was a deal I couldn't pass up.
Now, since its time for a new daily driver again anyways and I need to start planning on baby-seats here w/in the next few years, the plan is to buy a 98+ Bravada w/in the near future. Or maybe a Blazer/Jimmy(opinions welcome). Then I would drop in the Typhoon motor and boost it up a little. That way I'll have the four doors and a more comfortable vehicle for the old lady, and a sleeper for me on the weekends
So there is my long introduction and my justification for why I dont just go buy "THE REAL THING" and save my self all the work. Besides, I like a challange! So here are my questions :
1. Has anyone actually completed a typhoon engine transplant into a 98+ Bravada using the stock Bravada drivetrain?
2. Would the Blazer/Jimmy w/ the NV-236 t-case be a better bet?
3. Is the NV-136 standard on the Bravada? The NV-236 in the B/J?
4. How tough is the stock 4L60E? The listed t-cases?
5. Would I be able to put down 400hp thru this stock drivetrain on the weekends?
6. Would if work fairly well to basically drop the typhoon engine/ecm/harness into the Bravada and then use the stock ECM to work with the typhoon's to control the t-case?
7. Is there any other signal from the engine besides the TPS and RPM that will have to be shared between both ECM's?
8. How about stock instrument panel hook-ups?
7. Can I retain A/C with this swap?
6. Is there any certain #'s or parts to look for when shopping for a Bravada?
Sorry for the long post but I've been seaching for the last 2 days on here now and I just want to clarify some questions I have had that I haven't found definate answers on yet. I WILL accomplish this project even if if it takes longer than I'm planning and I would hpoe to be able to help others with this same swap in the future.
Thanks,
Andy
