a/c control problem

everything comes out the defrost. i did a search and found the gmparts #[size=+1][/size]16047875 that should fix it but they want $12 to ship it and it is a $8 item. any one have any way to get these without crazy shipping should be $1 or 2 through the usps. i looked it up on advanceautoparts.com, napaonline.com and autozone.com no one has one in these stores so i can not just go get one local.

you sure it is not a vaccume leak. if there is no vaccume signal all of the armatures go to the rest position which is the defrost vents

could be i did not get new vacum lines yet. still the org with 121k on them they look pretty worn and brittle but idle is good.

Mine did the same thing. The vacuum lines going to the back of the selector broke where they meet the plastic. I just got another unit from the wreckers.

not the red one, that was a vacuum line all fixed now this one is different does not make a noise just does not work and it is in the new black one.

ah my bad. like they've said you prolly need to yank the hvac controls out and check the connex

yeah had it out today and found the lever for the hot cold was off stuck the red part back in with the clip on the slidder and that works fine now. i looked at the vacuum lines and they looked good but i did not look to hard. i guess it is coming back out now.
