I believe people do care about the trucks. It's just that some throw more money than others in them.
Yeah...it takes a good deal of money to refurbish and maintain specialty vehicles...but i think in the long run we will have made solid financial investments... maybe we'll see some mint syty's going for 100k at barrett jackson's auction in 2030... hot rods and specialty/rare vehicles have always been reasonably solid investments. and WE(SYTY FOLKS) have the unicorn(s)...the mythical beast that everyone has heard is out there, is in awe of, but has never seen...these trucks are legend to diehard auto enthusiasts. Rarity and legend makes for money in our pocket in the long run...hopefully.
I spend all "extra" money on vehicle maintenance/upkeep...cuz i'm only into 3 things -skiing, soccer and cars...---> soccer is free, they pay me to ski/coach, ...so cars ends up being the only thing besides normal bills that i spend $ on...I'm not into clothes, vacations, games, music or whatever to spend $ on....and Thank god i have a wife that likes cars too....and i've reasoned my way into convincing myself and family that the cars might be a good investment in the long run...maybe...hopefully....but are definitely fun along the way no matter what happens
plus i love to detail cars...my own and customers... and driving around in detailed and different vehicles always attracts detailing business...
and lastly, these trucks are powerful...and as u know, w/ great power comes great responsibility...I try to use the attention gathered not only to generate detailing business and make friends, but also to set an example to "race at the track, not on the street"...2 kids were killed in the Albany area AGAIN last week street racing. Its a shame. The"street legal drags" at local tracks seems like a great idea...hope it really catches on.
