just thought i would say hello and introduce myself!

name is Charles, and I am in the Chicago area.

I do not have a SyTy, and I probably never will. I have a 96 S10 that will be getting some serious improvements (SyTy inspired) over the next several months, and I hope you guys will like it when its done.

Should anyone ever need custom CAD/CAM engineered components for their truck, my business partner and I *DO* manufacture custom one off parts in exchange for parts for our own vehicles from time to time.

I have built and owned a few different crazy cars - but I am currently down to just 2 cars. This truck, and my 350z. My S10, at the moment, is an awfully homely looking vehicle - as the project is only about to begin; so i will share the pics of the more exciting car. My Z does not have any stock parts left on it. When I change the wastegate springs, we can see what type of power it really makes.

I hope you like it, even tho its just a silly ricer with gold wheels :banghead:

nice Z. I was going to rag on you, but you said its not stock anymore so I might be fast. Stock z's look nice but have no low end power. I like the look. Have any engine pics??
BTW, take a ride in a sy and you will want one :D

thanks! its definately not stock - i do have engine pics but i never post them cause the 350z engine is ugly as sin and the only thing that looks modified about it is the large intake pipe going down to the intercooler, the turbos are low on the back/sides of the engine so you can hardly see them.

As for torque, it might not have QUITE the low end of the SyTy - but i bet you would be surprised how much torque a turbochargd Z makes. Here is an old graph of mine:

i like it alot, very impressed with the dyno #'s. that a/f digital gauge is sweet looking as well

Very nice, I've always liked the 350Z/G35's platform but stayed away because of the lack in performance. It's nice to see someone actually making a decent amount of power with one. If they had a turbo'd option from the factory I'm sure I would've bought one.

If you don't mind me asking how much do you have into the turbo upgrade? Are you running twins or a single?

Nice Z Phunk! I had a '90 and still miss the heck out of it. I bet it's fun trying to get that much power to the ground! :turbo:

i appreciate the compliements guys. its nice meeting other open minded enthusiasts who don't only like the car that they own. i love so many cars!

all the SyTy research I have been doing makes me want one sooooo bad. But I just cannot justify the price of buying another truck when I have this S10 that I realistically could build up to SyTy performance for less then it will cost me to buy a nice SyTy alone. I gotta get off my ass and pull this trans out, its going to FLP for their "Stage 4" build and a 2800 stall converter... that will be the trucks first mod haha (the trans is currently shot so i gotta do it anyway)

black knight: if you take it to a reputable 350z shop, to have a nice powerband you will spend about 10 grand installed to make 450-475rwhp on stock engine. you could go further, but thats the most that is recommended. if you invest a few grand into the bottom end, then you can easily take it to where i am and higher. its getting better every month and the road to performance from that engine is getting to be very well paved. in another year it will be very straight forward. There are already guys doing mid 600's rwhp on pump gas. there are also 4.2L stroker kits for the engine that are so far showing great potential and no problems.

wyosyclone: it is a challenge!!! the car is a handful and will spin the tires (295 35 18 pzero corsa race tires) in the first 4 gears if i just floor it. i need to take out some of the negative camber in the rear and i think that will help a bit... but i must confess that i am in no worry to do so because it is quite fun!

very nice!! as a matter of fact I honestly believe thats probably the most tastefully done 350z I have ever seen. good luck with the truck. Welcome to quite possibly the best forum on the internet

Okay guys im stupid i know but i cant figure that plate out!!:rant: Also nice car. I am just tired of the low sport cars. I guess becasue i had so many and living in new york and busting oil pans and getting wheel alignments the same amount of times changing oil i gave up. I now drive a 2000 explorer 4x4 as my daily and my TY and i dont even look down at the road. Well when i drive my ty i do but that is not often.:tup:

Nice car. You are right the engine is ugly. :rotf:
