Accel DFI computer

Would using a Accel DFI computer in place of the OEm computer be a better setup up than using chip upgrades? and how easy are these things to install?

Local shop is looking at installing one of these for me.

DFI without the wideband function would be a complete waste, any ECU with wideband output is good. Personally I'd get a Speed Pro unit, or get a serious syty education in chip burning and run the stock ECM.

The new v7 DFI has wide band, but I dont know if the interface harness from the old unit will still work.

As for speedpro/fast, yes that is an excellent solution and seems to be really popular in the syty/buick camps.

If you get a really good deal on a v6 dfi, it can work as long as a knowledgeable tuner dials it in with a wide band O2, then keeps the map in open loop.

Whats wide band O2? is there an article someplace that might explain things for me? Hate to bother you guys with these newbie questions
