Advice on spark plugs

These plugs only have a couple hundred miles on them, they are very black and are covered in oil. These are the plugs on the drives side, the passanger sides plugs arnt as black w/ very little oil. I knew I was running way too rich and now Im suspecting I have major problems :banghead:
And I was doing something wrong when I check the compression b/c all three cylinders on the drivers side were between 65-90 psi. Did a little reading after the fact and found some helpful tips. Do i really have to disable the ignition module or coil? and if so how? I also didnt let it warm up or hold the throttle.
I am really just learning everything as I go and already feel in over my head. I appreciate any help or opinions. I wish I knew half as much about engines as I do about drywall

That is low compression. A quick way to tell if your having engine compression problem is pulling the oil fill off and putting your hand over it. If the air is pushing out its time for a rebuild. You could have weak rings (that wouldn't showup) but usually most SyTy break the ring or pistons before wearing them out.

you may want to go with a hotter plug to help burn off that oil. also pull your intercooler hose off from between the turbo and IC and see if you have oil in there. your turbo could be puking oil into the motor.

if you dont see oil there check inside the upper intake. if you dont see oil in there then you have weak rings in the motor and it's time for a rebuild.

Plugs will foul if the engine idles for long periods.

Some blow by is normal. If it is blowing out of the valve oil fill like a hair dryer, then your rings are shot -and giving you low compression. Bad valves will give you low compresion too.

Does the truck blow out a puff of smoke on cold start ups?

You never stated how many miles are on the engine?

What was your compression test technique?

Yes it does smoke at start up and theres a black stain on the garage floor behind the tailpipe. It has 55,xxx miles. I know I checked the compression wrong so Im having a friend come help me tomorrow, will post results. thanks for the advice leadfoot

So I ended up taking my truck to a local preformance shop (TPS) and had them do a compression test. It came out good at 175 psi a cylinder. They charged me 200 dollars. Is that a fair price?

does it only blow smoke on a cold start up only? i have the same problem, my typhoon has 60k miles. it doesn't smoke after the initial start up . i'm going to un plug the cold start injector and see if it's a faulty injector. i noticed that it takes a few cranks before it fires,i also suspect it might be the valve seals, leaking down and the oil is sitting on top of the piston. if you can get a cylinder scope, you'll be able to view the inside of your cyl and see what's happening. i have the tools and ideas but not the time. i'll let you know if i find any results.
