Any idea about this torqu converter and tranny?

I just picked up a syclone motor today that was pulled out of a 2 wheel drive blazer. He left the tranny and the TC attached. I wrote down any markings that I found on each. On the tranny the number on the tranny itself is8663548, on the end piece of it is 8642547(-3?)
and MD8 and a big letter K and it has 27 points on the spline. On the TC its black with number 7 written all the way around it and the letters C-ARHOT , AU 2001 and it has 3 sets of 8 points on the spline receptacle. Any ideas? I was hoping the tranny was for our trucks but with a changed transaxle piece.
Thanks
Nathan

You need to read the number on the sticker at the top of transmission. The number you are reading off are the part/casting numbers for the case (which is shared across all 700r4)

Yeah, unfortunatley there is no sticker, just sticky residue of where there once was one. Any other way to tell??
Thanks

Well thankyou for that info. I first found the vin and then later the tranny info which was 2TBM0970. After realizing that is clearly not a syty tranny I thought what was the point of posting the vin of the truck it was mated with. Oh well. I am under the impression that any other 700R4 tranny wont hold up with a sy motor. Am I RIGHT??

Yes. On the pass rear side of the flange just above the pan. Between the last two pan bolt holes. There is a stamped ID. (sometimes two)

On the verticle surface (read from the 'side'): 2LHM304A 2=model year. LHM= SyTy 304= day of the year built (Julian) A=shift. In this case, 304 is about October 2-4. The PAS date on the door jamb of this truck was October 20. "Matching Numbers".

On the horizontal surface (read from 'above'); will be the VIN of the truck it was originally installed in.

If it's not an LHM, it's not a genuine SyTy. Post it here, and I MAY be able to 'decipher' what it came from. Especially if you can find a VIN derivitive as well.

Very cool. I asked about this years ago and was never given an answer beside the sticker on top. My spare transmission (suposedly a 92 Ty) matches as I suspected. My original seems to match (I didn't look at the vin)
