Any relocate the battery to inside the cab? is it an option?

does anyone make a battery that dosnt need to be vented? is a dry cell battery ok to relocate behind the passenger seat assuming its bolted down properly and inside a battery box? is it safe? has anyone done it?
thanks for any info you guys can share.

i wouldnt do it simply beacuse theres that one in 1,000,000,000,000 chance that the battery could blow up. also, when it gets old and starts leaking acid all over the place, that gets kinda messy :roll:

I am not sure how it might affect a Sy, but I will share this. We mounted an Optima in a 2000 HD at work inside the cab after removing the rear seat. Then we started experiencing persistent electrical gremlins. Computer, ip, cd, etc. GM got tired of us. All wiring was checked, re-checked, replaced etc. by a master electrician. All wiring,grounds, battery were replaced.
Eventually, we just relocated the battery into the service body....problem solved.
I am still not sure why, maybe EMF?

what id do...well, what im actually planning on doing, is moving the battery to the bed. all the way forward, right in the center. the ideal place would be right over the differential, but that gets in the way if you need to put stuff back there

Mine's in the bed behind the passenger side. I put the factory ground cable to the frame after insulating it against the downpipe. The factory + off the starter goes to my remote solenoid inbetween the pass. side underhood HVAC acc. and the overflow bottle. Perfect fit. 2ga. through the pass. frame rail entering the bed through a 1/2" gromment. Batt. ground cable goes straight down to the frame. Don't forget a set of batt. cable connectors to simplify if the bed needs to come off, etc.
