Anyone live near Gainesville ?

I'm heading to the track with the Sy friday night to run it. See how much better it is at a real track vs OSW :lol: And to get a new time from the old one with some new stuff.

Wondering if anyone up that way wanted to join up at the track. I'm trying to get my friend with his 96 Cobra to run it on DR's and see what it will do.

Anyone's welcome to join me if you want. Depending on how many cars there are there I'm going to try and get 3 runs in. (Thats asking alot on a regular night at OSW. :rolll: ) Gonna do street trim run, 20psi and then probably 22psi. :tup:

I thought you lived in Florida, not Georgia. Why are you going to the track with a shotgun?? :rotf: You must have some rough tracks down there. Tell your friend to bring his Lincoln, that's a better "shotgun" car!

You have already driven it almost as much as I did in six years in the first six weeks you have owned it, it would only be right if you finally beat my best 1/8 mile time in it! (7.67 in case you forgot).

I am going to be due for a oil change here in a bit Mark. :lol: I was playing around launching it a bit yesterday night, and even around 2lb's vs the 4 I was leaving at before, it pulls so much harder. I just dont want to crank the boost up to much and break something :roll:

Seeing what the fully built tranny's are costing, thats not me right now.

The weather this morning is looking a bit iffy about tonight. I'm watching the radar and looks like it might clear up by this afternoon sometime. I'm hoping it does.

Unless the weather does a 180 before 5pm I'm not going to be going. I'll see what the weather looks like tomorrow night and if its good I'll go then.

well, i live about 50 miles outside of gville.
i might take my phoon out next weekend if i have to funds.
how much does it cost to get in, never been there to race.

I used to live there and would race my old ty about every week. I have about 50 or so low 12sec passes there. The track is really nice and smooth and i was about 2 tenths faster there than bradenton. I think it was like $15 to race, but that was about 5yrs ago. When you go, only use lanes 1 and 2 b/c all the rice crap street cars are in the other lanes and the bikes in the far lanes. Very similar to OSW. If youre in the first two lanes, sometimes you get to go more than once in one round.

Yeah its still $15 to race and get in. (dont know the cost of just getting in, assuming its about the same as OSW $10. :dunno: )

I didnt go though. I started to, but about 20 miles from my house heading that way it was getting nasty and I said screw it and turned around to go home. I'm gonna watch the weather this weeek, and if it looks good I'm gonna go.

Jordan; what 60' differences did you see from GRW to OSW? I was cutting really low 1.8's with about 38 psi in the tires (didnt bother to lower them.) at OSW.

I was only cutting some 1.7's on some bobo daytona dayton radials. I was running 12.10's all day long at 112-113.

Thanks. I was wondering if I'll be able to get into the mid 1.7's. It wasnt hard to get 1.8's at OSW but did nothing to the tires just spooled up to 4psi and went.

i'm about to go through all the fluid and filters in my truck, and if i've got enough for gas and fees to get in, i'll be down to go.

not sure what she'll run, but i'm setting not my hopes too high

I just want to beat someone, then rub it in they just got BEAT BY A BLAZER WITH OVER 190k MILES ON THE STOCK MOTOR. :lol:
