Are these the braces that get removed?

I remember reading about removing the front braces to help lighten up the Sy a little more and make it easier to get the inner fenders in and out, but was never sure if these are the right ones? If they are then anyone who has removed them have you had any adverse affects from doing so i.e. bumper moving around at high speeds anything else I can't think of? TIA

I dont see what they are going to lighten up thats for sure, its not like they are solid steel or anything, I doubt they even weigh 1 pound a piece.

in short, dont waste your time

the ones you are probably referring to are the flat braces under the front of the fenderwell with three bolt holes.

This is exactly why I asked, it didn't seem like it would be a great idea, but yah know.

Yes the flat ones are gone.

I think it was Hood's lightweight Sy post I was reading, maybe he can shed some light....

I took mine off.
My bumper fits fine.
They dont weigh a pound each but theyre close to it.
If you dont like having them off then put them back on.
