Battery issue?

Just wondering what everyones thoughts are. I turned the key on and the truck would not start. I observed the battery level.. Where would the proper voltage be?

I mentioned something to a friend and he said parasitic drain?? telling me to do a test. Says something could be draining it.

Where can I find the OEM or original battery info like a ac delco part #

Actually check the voltage at the battery.

It read 12v. Like 11.99. Seems real strange for it to just die down and not be up on charge.

My battery in truck is like new.

12.6 volts for a fully charged battery is where you would like to be....you can bring it to any autoparts store and they will check and charge it for free....do alot of research on your battery purchase as alot have gone to cheaper materials and have a higher out if the box failure rate from what I've seen.:2cents:

If its reading 12 volts with the engine off, you're good to go. You should have 14 volts at idle.
