Forced to by choice
The bed support rails were starting to rust. Wanted to knock it out before it really became a problem. Some of you might remember I did the front end with the spray on under coating from a spray can. Well, needless to say after it rained a few times it started to flake off. So I wouldn't go using that shit. I'll be redoing the front with POR as well when I get a few more cans. (The hot rod shop I bought it from ran out)
I did all of what you see, the core support, and under the doors where the rain drains are, it was starting to look like the bed rails and I know I don't want that to get out of hand.
I used a 2" brush to apply this because it went on smoother. Its not as smooth as I'd like it to be, but then again its not exactly smooth under the truck anyway. Used a whole pint for this, so its on pertty thick to where I shouldn't have to worry about it again.
This is after 3 hits of purple power degreaser, and a putty knife to take the rest of the caked on stuff off. Took me a good 3 hours to get what you see here after the degreaser. Thats not including the time it took to get the rear end out.
After I lackered on the POR.
