Brake upgrade

Hello
I want to upgrade the brakes on my Syclone, I have read about different upgrades regarding to parts on the forum....
I looking for brakes that will work driving on a raceway with alot of hard braking into corners....
See that some of you are using corvette calipers with 14" breaks discs.
As I understand you need set of new brackets to mount these kind of calipers onto a Syclone.?
So the question is where can a get a hold of these parts...
I would like to have good quality breakes.
I have seen a setup for around 700$ on this forum...
But is there anywere on the net you can buy all these parts and ship them to Norway?

Also do I need to remove the ABS to get good effective brakes?

Re: Brake upgrade

the brackets you can get from renzfab..

c5 or c6 brakes would probably be best for racing, however you will need to run a 17" wheel.

Re: Brake upgrade

hello

A little update on the brake convertion....
I have bought DBA street series 13" drilled and slotted rotors, hawk ceramic pads and Corvette C6 calipers....
And I want to get the convertion brackets from RenzFab....

So now I'm looking forward to get all the part to Norway and mount them...

Any of you that have experience with this setup?

Re: Brake upgrade

That setup will treat you well, on a 17" wheel. The "Ls1" brakes are the best for all around bang for buck, but mostly cause they fit under stock wheels. I "hear" they have larger pistons than the c5/c6 brakes, but usually a smaller rotor. You will love your brakes after your upgrade. Dont forget a abs delete...

Re: Brake upgrade

I cant wait to take the truck to the track next summer...
Tried it this summer, but I had HUGE problems with stock brakes.....
So I'm looking forward to test the new ones...
I hear a lot of people delete the abs, do I need to get some new parts to do this?
