never mind. throttle body was just rebuilt, so I'm told by a third party. As usual I'm full of shit because I don't know things that aren't written.

Some might mistake it as an idle screw, but it is not an idle screw. The idle is controlled by the ECM unless out the range of the IAC.

Understood, but theres a baseline setting... and since the TB was just rebuilt...

and since the TB was just rebuilt...

Where's that come from?

I just spent 30 minutes writing a response based on thinking [idea removed], and you come up with "Throttle Body was just rebuilt". So I read the entire thread again. I still don't see it. All I see is "I cleaned the soot off the end of the IAC motor". THAT is not a "rebuild of the TB".
Was it, or was it not "just rebuilt"?

Glad you liked that. That got you on my ignore list.

This is what I'm talking about...

I never touched the idle screw after Matt Blum worked the TB so this seems sensible anyway.

But my reply above actually didn't actually make sense otherwise - I lost track of who's replying to who. That's what I get for trying to type on my phone while I'm walking the dog.
