BS3 harness Q

Can some please tell me what this orange wire is for on the BS3 piggyback harness?

I believe its used for the internal datalogin feature. You must send the Ecu to big stuff to have the upgrade done to the ecu. You put a switch to 12v and the orange wire. When 12v is applied to orange wire it will start internal datalogin. Thus there is no need to have a laptop in you car during a pass. NHRA rules!!!! Not unusualy inforced in slower cars. I hooked mine up and it does nothing. You have to send ecu to have memory upgrade done cost 250 bucks.

Internal datalogging usually is activated by one of the wires on the "boost" connector. Not sure offhand what the orange wire is for unless it's key on power.

thanks, I installed the BS3 today, I didn't hooked that orange wire up.
First crank it started right up, I was suprises, usually shit don't work for me.
Just need to get it tuned now.

I didn't know I have to sync the timing, I guess I will be reading the manual tonight.

I am trying to get in touch with Nolan to get a custom tune.
