building a 98 syclone

Ok I want to start by saying I am new to this site and new syty's infact about the only thing I really know about them is they are AWD 4.3 turbo's and they are fast as hell,now with that out of the way,heres my question I have a 1998 single cab short bed s10 with a 4.3 vortec and a 4l60e,its got a couple mods and its decently quick for what it is,but man the syclones and typhoons are just amazingly fast,I was wondering if there was anyway to convert my truck into a syclone,could the turbo kit be used with modification,could the transfer case,and front diff be bolted in,and last has anyone ever done such a conversion to a newer s10 or sonoma any links.any info on this would be greatly appreciated thanks

Its been done. there are a couple on this site.

cool thanks for the link but what about the awd,I have been doing some homework only to find out that the awds have a different frame and that it would take alot of money to to convert it dont know how true this is ,theres so much to learn about these I really dont know where to start,i've spent hours just today researching,but thanks again for the help,cant learn everything in a day I guess,but i'll deffinitly be on this site a lot :tup:

darn i knew i should of got a 4x4,well what are the main differences between the 2wd and 4wd frames,could the 2wd frame possibly be modified to fit all the research i've done so far says id be better off just finding a 4x4 frame and swapping everything over,thanks for the help

you better do a bit more research. If you didn't know you would need a frame that has a front diff and a few other things that come on 4x4 frames. You better just stick a ls-1 into your 2 wheel drive frame and save yourself some money .

What he said^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

You would better off (time and $$$) to just buy a Syclone or Typhoon. There are many for sale.... :tup:
