Cam specs?

I have a few questions i have searched but couldnt find what i wanted so ill ask can anyone give me the specs to the stock cam?And im going with vortec head swap 2.02 1.60 1.6 rockers and mild ported KB headers with built bottom end with 4 bolt mains and prolly around a 64mm turbo with 3000 stall can anyone like to share with me some cam specs they are running with a build close to what i have?If anyone is not to funny about giving away their secret.Looked at the comp cams but they are not truly turbo cams.I emailed Bulletcams put in a few specs and they will email me back what they think it should be but i would like to be able to compare theirs to some of you guys shit if you know what i mean.Thanks

Hello Syclone Rider, I am new to the wonderful syclone performance community and proud of it , I am really not that savvy with turbos however I am learning. I was more of a naturally aspirated engine type of mechanic now I am getting into messing arround with my syclone. I have a stock bottom end I am about to start putting my engine together tomorrow, Vortec head swap, roller rocker 1.5, stock turbo for right now, port and polish bench flow tested heads, Crower custom grind cam. The shop that did the work on my heads called Ramiro over at Crower in San Diego and gave him the bench flow results and specs I was going to run on the camshaft. I was told it is ideal to run mild lift or duration on the cam, the specs on my cam I beleive are .450 or .470 duration i would have to check on the specs tomorrow when I am in my shop. You can call Ramiro at Crower Performance Cams (619) 661 6477 in San Diego Ca. and give him all the specs in your engine just the way you are describing them here in the forum and I am sure he will be able to help you like he helped me. Be carefull with 2.02/1.6 vortec valves! Some people had them crack between the valves.
Stock sizes are fine (1.94/1.5)

I have heard that too but when we cut the valve seat we made sure to stay in the hardened seat.If it does i have a few sets laying around.Thanks for the heads up though.

I want to see this cam that you have with .450 or .470 Duration. You do mean valve lift don't you...

In regard to syclone rider post, If you do a search, I think you will fine that alot of people here are running these cams and doing really well with them.

I know about the comp cams but i have a problem with being a perfectionist ocd i guess but i think i have just made up my mind for now to just buy a comp cam for now and then get a custom grind on a more exspensive build.

@ SY2455 yes I meant lift not duration my mistake, the lift is the maximum lift of the camshaft lobe pushing up against the pushrod which pushes up on the rocker arm which the rocker arm pushes down on the valve (how far down the cam lobe pushes the valve open). The duration is the time the cam lobe keeps the valve open. I do appologize for any inconvenience. If you would like to see the cam you are more than welcome to come to my shop. : )

I have Turbotime's 214 custom cam, its a symmetrical cam 214/214 duration @0.50 duration with .530/.530 lift, and a lobe separation of 115. IMO the lift isn't as important with a set of vortecs with aftermarket cams, reiterating some of the above. However most cams lobe you would want are in the .500 range. You could also do a slightly more aggressive intake lobe. The 214 is sort like Comp Cams 415 but tailored more for a turbo.

Campbell has some Custom cams as well.

IMO if you going to do cam, you might as well do one of the custom ones, they aren't that much more expensive either. I think mine was about $60 more than an off the shelf comp cam 412/415/422.

Man a custom cam from bullet are around 380 compared to 250 for a comp cam.Thanks for the specsand the info.The cam like you have is more what im wanting something more suited for a turbo motor.
